Great portraits are remarkably hard-working images.

A single photograph might introduce a CEO on a company's website, accompany an editorial feature, appear in an annual report, support a recruiting campaign, or become the face of a new marketing initiative. Creating portraits with that kind of longevity means thinking beyond the moment and considering how they'll serve the organization long after the session ends.

In 2023, I continued photographing performances regularly. I worked to create images that not only highlighted individual characters in scenes but showcased more expansive sets and more dynamic interactions between characters, scenes, and lighting.

I spent an hour with Sunjay and Milind in their company’s office in Granger, Indiana. With a single strobe blending with natural light, I came away with a couple of my favorite business portraits.
